MAGARIAF: "The military struggle will be supplemented by intense diplomatic activity through the Afro-Arab International Committee Against Gaddafi and a campaign is to be launched that will include an international boycott of Libyan goods, including oil, and the cessation of all commercial links, with Libya. To buy Libyan oil is to support Gaddafi. Without revenue from oil, Gaddafi would be powerless to pursue his international mischief-making and ruthless suppression of all dissident at home. It has therefore been decided that, at our forthcoming congress, Gaddafi will indeed be brought to trial, if only in absentia, and the evidence against him documented, co-ordinated and assessed. We are at this time seeking out legal opinion on how this most effectively can be accomplished and what course of action will be open to us in international law. We shall use whatever judgements arise from the trial to increase international pressure on him through the United Nations, the Organisation of African Unity, the Arab League and other regional and international forums. Distinguished jurists and observers will be invited to the trial from Europe as well as the Afro-Arab world, Gaddafi, like other dictators who have brought the world to the brink of disaster, must be stopped now."
