FLINN: "Excellency, have you come here to arrange the repatriation of prisoners of war?"
WINSPEARE: "Well, this is the task of the Red Cross".
FLINN: "Have you brought any lists with you?"
WINSPEARE: "It's the task of the Red Cross and I'm not the Red Cross."
FLINN: "Are you going to have talks with Sheikh Mujib?"
WINSPEARE: "I don't know yet."
FLINN: "Are you prepared to do so?"
WINSPEARE: "I'm prepared not to have any comment now, I've just arrived in this very minute."
FLINN: "But you would be prepared to put your aircraft at his disposal to go back to Dacca?"
WINSPEARE: "Well, I'm prepared to do anything that is required of my mission".
FLINN: "When are you seeing the President, sir?"
WINSPEARE: "I don't know yet, I mean I've just arrived you see and you are the first person I'm talking to".
FLINN: "That's very kind of you, thank you."

Background: United Nations special representative Vittorio Winspeare arrived in Islamabad on Wednesday (5 January) for talks on humanitarian problem stemming from last month's Indo-Pakistan war. He landed in a special United Nations aircraft which had flown from New Delhi.
During his stay, Mr Winspeare is to meet with Pakistani President Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and government officials.
While at the airport, he was interviewed by Peter Flinn, a reporter of the British Broadcasting Corporation.
