The transmitter, working on 600 kw. medium wave, will cover the whole of Congo-Kinshasa, as well as large part of Central and Eastern Africa.
Its installation, which was scheduled to take between 12 and 18 months, has been completed in record time. President Mobutu is due to declare the transmitter officially operational on November 24.
