Background: After an earlier Luncheon party meeting between West German Foreign Minister Herr von Brentano, Herr Willy Brandt, Berlin's Chief Burgomaster and Mr. Christian Herter, the three Western Foreign Ministers were entertained by Mr. Gromyko to Tea at his Geneva residence.
It was afterwards stated that no further progress was made; in fact, no progress is expected at all until the final meeting at Geneva of the Foreign Ministers Conference becomes imminent.
Main interest at Geneva was centred upon widespread reports that Mr. Nixon, Vice-President of the United States now visiting USSR was about to invite Mr. Khruschev to visit President Eisenhower in Washington.
