Background: Extensive co-operation between Ghana and the Sudan in the future was announced after Dr. Nkrumah, Prime Minister of Ghana, left Khartoum by air for Libya on Thursday, June 5th. The two countries are to establish diplomatic relations at embassy level and intend to co-ordinate foreign policies through their representatives at United Nations. Dr. Nkrumah, who had headed a Ghana delegation to the Sudan, inspected a guard of honour at Khartoum airport before leaving on the next stage of his tour.
