Background: Arsenal reached their first Football Association (F.A.) Cup Final in 19 years by defeating Stock City 2-Nil in a semi-final replay at Birmingham's Villa Park tonight (Wednesday, March 31).
Stock have never reached an F.A. final - and just missed doing so in Saturday's (March 27) match in which they were leading 2-1 until Peter Storey levelled from a penalty in injury time, giving Arsenal a last-gasp 2-2 draw and the chance for the replay.
In today's match - Arsenal's George Graham and Ray Kennedy scored the two goals which defeated Stoke's Gordon Banks, rated as the best goalkeeper in the world today.
The final will be played at Wembley (Britain's second largest football stadium) on May 8th - when Arsenal will face Liverpool in a repeat of the 1950 final, which Arsenal won 2-0.
