Background: When the football match Valencia - Real Madrid ended, the American teams, Tigers and Taconners, jump to the grounds of the Stadium Santiago Bernabeo to make an exhibition of American rugby. They are headed by the famous music-band of the US Air Forces arrived expressly for the event from Wiesbaden. More than 140,000 fans stay in their seats in spite of the raw cold and greet with a deafening applause the music-band and the players.

This manly sport, practically unknown in Spain, requires a queer protective apparel which makes them look like space navigators. One never knows who requires more protection, if those who sail across the space or those who meet in the green of the stadium.

Huddled together, with bent heads they seem to be discussing some secret affairs. What are they talking about? The answer is forthcoming .... Doubtlessly they were endeavouring to measure the resistance of the protective helmets ... they attack each other ferociously, amidst the general enthusiasm of the spectators; to be quite frank, we do not know how much the public knows about this sport. The match is played in two parts and at the end of each the teams exchange places ... if not reglamentary, the exchange of bones must nevertheless be frequent.

Just look at the Tiger's leap! .... and now a race which not even Fangio can better.
