Tunisian dominated the game from the start with Jeridi scoring in the fifth minute from close range to finish off a well-constructed attack. He found the net again in the 16th minute when his accurate header have Tunisia a half-time lead of 2-0. The home side kept up the pressure in the second half. Rakbaoui scored in the 56th minute with a close range shot inside the near post after good approach work down the left wing, before Gasri made it 4-0 on the night with a fine drive from the edge of the penalty are.
