Background: Cricket...and Bobby Simpson and Craig Serjeant were in a confident mood when the Australians resumed their first innings on the third morning of their four-day match against Barbados in Bridgetown on Monday (13 March). Thanks to a fine 96 by Alvin Greenidge, Barbados had made 291 in their first innings, but the Australians always seemed set to score considerably more. Rick Darling with 60, and Graeme Wood 75, gave the tourists their first century opening stand of the tour...David Ogilvie celebrated his arrival from Australia with a solid 50...and then Serjeant and Simpson took over.

SYNOPSIS: Despite an injured left ankle Daniel was still able to generate plenty of pace, but Serjeant steered him away for a single.

This time it was Daniel to Simpson, the Australian captain...no run.

Padmore to Serjeant and three more runs. Padmore has posed a lot of problems for Serjeant earlier on, but by this stage the Australian batsman was playing with much more confidence.
