TRANSCRIPT: SEQ. 4: Rally organiser: "With the weather we've been having, the roads are extremely rough this year. Rougher than I ever remember them before, but maybe that's just me. I seriously think that by the end of the second leg, we will have lost about 60% of the field. The first section shouldn't cause too many problems, but it'll be slippery a little bit difficult: In the second leg, there are certain areas where, quite frankly, the road is a total disaster. And the third leg that's where the real rally will be won. I hope it's a rally, because many people driving won't be able to drive through at all without being pushed or pulled or carried and at the end, if as I said, the weather remains as it is maybe we won't even have five finishers."

SEQ. 6: Reporter: "Where have you been getting all your advice from, all your tips?"

Morgan: "The main person is Ray Welton, who has given me a lot of help and advice, taught me a lot, about driving techniques, techniques he uses in the safari rally, which he has passed on to me, and then just (indistinct) I suppose."

SEQ. 8: Reporter: "Do you seriously think that you will be able to finish the course?"

Driver: "Well that's my goal, to complete the course, you know as we were all fired up in the States getting ready to come over here, we thought that we were going to get out here and race all the rally cars and really show them how it's to be done, but I'm sure that's not going to happen now. Seeing the course and the speed you have to run and the hairpin turns and things like this."

Reporter: "How do you handle this machine on a hairpin turn?"

Driver: "Well, the only way I know to do it is very slowly."
