The commandos include a girl, Maha Abu-Kalil. Mahmoud Mohamed. Mahr Hussein Soleiman, Sami Abbound and Issam Doumit of the Popular front for the Liberation of Palestine and Mansour Murad and Elias Garebedian of the Popular Struggle Front.
The seven were released as a result of a Greek pledge made when six of their colleagues hijacked a Greek airliner last month. The hijackers successfully bargained for their release after threatening to blow up a plane at Athens airport.
Shots were fired as a greeting to the commandos as they were embraced by relations and comrades at Amman airport.
The Popular Struggle Front command has sent a cable thanking Greek Prime Minister George Pepadopoulos fulfilling the pledge to release the commandos.
