Background: A delegation from Cameroun left Peking on Sunday (20 August) after a week of talks on trade and technical matters with Chinese officials.

The Cameroun delegation was led by the Foreign Minister, M. Vincent Efon, who flew to The People's Republic of China after attending the conference of non-aligned nations in Guyana.

M. Efon's visit to Peking included the signing of two agreements between Cameroun and The People's Republic of China. One dealt with economic and technical cooperation, the other with trade.

When the Cameroun delegation landed at Peking, it was greeted by a large contingent of senior Chinese officials, including the Foreign Minister Chi Peng-fei and the Deputy Foreign Minister Ho Ying.
