Background: The Dong Giao State Farm of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam has a 1,200 - hectare coffee plantation.
A number of methods are used by the workers to effect meticulous cultivation of coffee plants.
The farm was established in 1955. In the last few years, agricultural production has grown by leaps and bounds.
It has now 2,500 hectares of arable land. The number of workers has rocketed from 40 to over 2,000.
Scientific experiments are being conducted constantly to increase the supply of coffee for consumers. Graftings made by the farm workers toughen the stems and result in higher yields.
This farm is supplying the state with large quantities of coffee beans every year.
