Background: The thrills and spills of water ski-ing gave plenty of excitement July 26 at Ruislip Lido, London, when the British Waster Ski Federation's competition came to a close.

Lance Callingham, 20-year-old son of Lady Docker, won the men's championship, while Maureen Lynn Taylor triumphed in the women's section. Both are members of Ruislip Water Ski Club.

Trick riding wound up the day's ski-ing...a sport becoming more and more popular today.
