Background: A mass meeting was held today in Baghdad's Scouts field, to celebrate the 1920 Iraqi revolution against the British. An estimated crowd of seven thousand attended the rally and lessoned to several speakers that took turn on the stand. The committee organizing the meeting issued a statement calls on the people to attend as "a debt of decency on the neck of every citizen". The committee included members of the Democratic Party, Iraqi Communist Party and the Kurdish Democratic Party.
