Mr. Iyad said he believed peace in Lebanon was hoped for by everyone, especially those who had the war forced on them. He said the war aimed at liquidating the Palestine Revolution and its allies in lebanon. Mr. Iyad said no one with a conscience could tolerate the flow of Lebanese and Palestinian blood in the war. He said there were three conditions, however, that were necessary for peace. Firstly, America should stop supplying the conspirators with all the means to continue the bloodshed in Lebanon; secondly, America's agents in the region including first of all Israel and also some of the Arab. States, should stop giving the "isolationists" (right-wingers) and Syria support to continue the bloodshed; thirdly the leaders of the right-wing fronts should be convinced that there was no use continuing the fighting. He said the Palestinians would not grant them all they ask, but would commit themselves to what was granted under the Cairo agreement.
