In the last election/1962 June 18th -- these ridings -- were swept by the Liberals who took twelve. The Conservatives who held all 18 in 1958 were left with three seats.
More than 25 per cent of the Liberal strength in the province of Ontario was represented by the Toronto seats.
The Liberals will need to hold the Toronto seats in Ontario in order to form a majority government. If they succeed in taking fifty Quebec seats out of 75 they will need to take fifty in of Ontario's 85 seats -- of which the Toronto seats represent the biggest block...hope this will suffice with your wire copy
