Background: The Soviet Army Club House...

Thousand of visitors have come to bid farewell to Vladimir Komarov, one of the first space explorers, a talented test pilot of space ships, an astronaut and flyer, who was killed on April 24, 1967, while completing a test flight on the spaceship "Soyuz-I".

Funeral music is playing... Thousands of people, workers, employees, soldiers, sailors, students, pioneers and schoolchildren, silently file through the hall.

The urn with Komarov's ashes stands on a high pedestal. Nearby lie the decorations awarded him for his service to his country.

Komarov's portrait, framed in Black crepe, is surrounded by flowers and wreaths, brought here by the people.

Members of the government committee in charge of the funeral arrangements stand guard beside the urn with the ashes of Komarov. In the hall too are leader of the Communist Party of the state and other Soviet astronauts.

The untimely death of the outstanding spaceman is a severe loss to the Soviet people.

Their grief of the people knows no bounds.

Komarov's exploits in spaceship testing are a valuable contribution to the development of space techniques.

The name of the space conqueror will live on forever.
