TRANSCRIPT: SEQ 1: "Here is Diane Jones form Saskatoon; she wins the women's long jump, her best right here, 6.33 metres. Diane Jones from Saskatoon. Now the men's 50 yard dash, as usual the Americans very strong in the sprints and here is the winner Steve Riddick from Philadelphia. And the United States is also strong in the women's sprints -- Janet Bolden winning the 50 yard dash -- there is Riddick, the winner of the men's 50 yard dash. Now the women's and the winner is Janet Bolden. The men's 440 tonight and there were two heats in the 440, as Janet Bolden comes off, we are now watching the second heat, American Kevin Price the winner in 48.8 seconds. But the man in the white shirt is Canadian Brian Sanders, second in this heat, Brian Sanders third overall in the men's 440 Action from last night! Here is 22-year -old Robert Fourget from Montreal. This jump is a Canadian open record, seven feet five inches. And as you see he can't even believe it, and the world record held by Dwight Stones, remember, is only seven-six-and-a-half. On the left the men's mile: Filbert Ireland's Eamonn Coghlan was a no-snow because of a leg injury last night, so Bayi was never really pressed. Whenever a runner came close Bayi simply........pulled away with ease. But again he wasn't pushed and won in four minutes and six tenths of a second, but well off the world record of three fifty five. As we see the finish, here is Filbert Bayi from Tanzania."
