NO PERMISSION WAS GIVEN FOR THE DEMONSTRATION, THE MAYOR, DR. IVO SAMKALDEN, SAID THAT THE DEMONSTRATION WOULD INTERFERE WITH RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC.

    (DURING THE DEMONSTRATION STUDENTS OVERTURNED CARS, HURLED STONES AND SMASHED WINDOWS IN THE CITY HALL BEFORE THE POLICE INTERVIEWED. DEMONSTRATORS ALSO CLASHED WITH POLICE NEAR THE ROYAL PALACE. RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC ADDED TO THE CONFUSION. ONE MAN WAS REPORTED WOUNDED AND A WOMAN DEMONSTRATOR WAS ARRESTED.)
