Background: Thousands of inhabitants of Czechoslovakia's capital met today in the centre of Prague to celebrate May-day and to express support to the policy of the Communist Party and desire for peace and progress.

On the ???ai platform on Wenceslaw square there were present representatives of Communist Party and Czechoslovak government - general secretary of the Central Committee of party Gustov Husak, president of the Czechoslovak republic and candidates of politbureau of the party and other leading personalities.

May-day parade was opened by Mr. Antonin Kapek, first secretary of the Prague committee of the party. Main speech was delivered by Costive Husak. After ??? cicial part of celebrations the huge parade have been stared. In the first rows there were members of People's militia, members of the Socialist union of youth and workers of the most industrial party of Prague.
