SYNOPSIS: An airport welcome in Beirut on Thursday for the Emir of Kuwait. He flew in for a one-day official visit to the Lebanese capital. President Franjiya and Lebanon's Prime Minister Mr. Salam were there to greet the Emir..... Sheikh Sabah As-Salim As-Sabah.
A warm reception for the Kuwait leader reflected the present good relations existing between the two Middle East nations.... both of them members of the Arab League. During his stay, the Sheikh had talks with President Franjiya and the Prime Minster - and it's understood the Middle East situation was reviewed.
The airport welcome was prolonged and formal - as befits a visiting head of state. But for both the Emir and his Lebanese hosts, the talks that followed were expected to be the most fruitful part of the visit.
