    Background: As a precautionary measure, two companies of Airborne Infantry from Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and two companies of Marines from Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, have been moved to U.S. bases in the Caribbean Area. The movement is being undertaken so these troops will be in a position to cooperate with the Venezuelan Government, if assistance is requested. This is purely a precautionary measure, and there is no indication such assistance will be required.
