TRANSCRIPT: AMUNDSON: "These players make up the combination that will start for the National League. Morgan was an easy winner over the Phillies Dave Cash in the balloting for second baseman. At short stop will be Dave Concepcion of Cincinnati. He finished well ahead of last year's starter, Larry Buller of Philadelphia. Concepcion is one of only two National League starters who did not start in the 1974 game. Two dodgers will be at the corners, Don Cey at third base and Steve Garvey at first. Garvey was in last year's game. Jimmy Wynn is the third Dodger to make the starting team. Wynn was elected in one of the outfield positions thanks to a surge of votes in the final weeks. He just beat out Reggie Smitn of the Cardinals. The Mets' Unser, who was among the leaders, fell to sixth position in the last week. The man they call Charley Hustle of Cincinnati. he was listed an outfielder in the ballot although he now plays third base. The Cardinals' base-stealing genius, Lou Brock is the only eastern division player on the starting team. He is the other new face in the lineup. And catcher Johnny Bench rounds off the starting team. Bench is having one of his best seasons and he will be playing in his eighth All Star game. Bench was the leading vote-getter among National League players piling up nearly two million votes more than his nearest competitor. Bench and his team mates will be trying to continue the National League domination. The League can't seem to win a world series, but it has won three straight All Star games an has eleven wins in the last twelve games. This is Charles Amundson reporting."
