THOMPSON: "Have you ever fought an Englishman before?"

POISON: "Yes, I've fought one Englishman, by name Tony Cunninham. They made it Ghana versus England and I won that fight."

THOMPSON: "Have you ever seen Evan Armstrong fight?"

POISON: "I've never seen him fight, never met him."

THOMPSON: "Meeting him in Ghana would you kike to make a prediction?"

POISON: "Oh I'm going to win at all costs, I don't know whether by a knock-out or by a decision, but I'm going to win at all costs, you see."

Background: Twenty-four year-old D.K. Poison (real name David Kotei) challenges reigning champion Evan Armstrong of Scotland for the Commonwealth Feather-weight Championship on 7 December.

In preparation for the fight Poison is training intensively at the Accra Community Centre and is already confident that he will win.

This stems mostly from his success in the newly-created African Feather-weight title then months ago. Poison won the crown when he beat Tunisian Tahar Ben Hassan with a spectacular under-two-minutes knock-out.

When questioned during a training session Poison told Reporter Harry Thompson that he would win against Amstrong "at all costs". He would not predict though, whether it would be with a knock-out or by a points decision.

Poison has suffered long periods of frustration during his boxing career, when he has been left without fights despite trips to Australia and the United Kingdom.

He forthcoming bout against Evan Armstrong is being promoted by the Government-backed Ghana Boxing Promotions Syndicate.
