Background: The water pressure in the cracked Van Norman Dam has dropped and evacuees are returning to the San Fernando Valley, main scene of Tuesday's tragic earthquake. And after all hope had been given up of finding any more survivors amongst the rubble of the Sylmar Veterans hospital, which is known to have caused 41 deaths when it collapsed during the earthquake, a 68-year-old kitchen hand was found alive yesterday (Friday). He had been buried for 58 hours, and our film shows him being carried out of the debris and in hospital.
