    Background: On thursday, the US airforce began with an airlift from the biggest NATO airbase, Ramstein (near Kaiserslautern) to Persia. The 322nd air division from Evreux in France sent 25 "Hercules" and the Rhein-Mann airbase 3 Globemaster. About 32 flights are planned. Each plane takes about 21 tons of tents, medicaments, blankets, food and a whole field-hospital with 100 beds and 200 doctors and nurses. (The personnel had left with the first planes and all equipment was in packets, as it comes from stock)
