Background: 60 units of the Spanish Fleet gather in the Bay of Alcudia to take part in the final phase of Operation "Foca" during the combined manoeuvres of the three Spanish Armies. H.E. the Generalissimo is going to attend. Franco arrives on board the "Azor" and in a torpedo-boat, accompanied by the Ministry of the Navy, War and Air and the Undersecretary of the Presidency, reviews the ships taking part in the tactical exercise.
This consists in an amphibian assault to the beach of Aloudia, Majorca. A minute coordination of the Navy with the air forces and the troops who are to set foot on the beach and progress inland, is required.
The first disembarking troops arrive in amphibian boats. The Air Corps render efficient aid bomding the fake enemy positions. The Marines, perfectly trained and equipped, start the attack to establish the planned beach-head, overcoming the enemy's resistance.
When the operation terminated, the Generalissimo went on board the "Canarias". The guns fire the reglamentary salvoes.
On the bow deck, the Minister of the Navy, Admiral Abarzuza, emphasises the importance of a manoeuvre of this type in which for the first time the sea, land and air forces have taken part.
Finally the Head of the State expresses his satisfaction on verifying the excellent preparation and instruction of the troops, which can be regarded as the first step to a future combined tactics during which the three Armies will give proof of their ability.
