Background: Major General D.K. Addo, Army Commander, Ghana, visited the headquarters of the British Army Strategic Command at Salisbury yesterday. He was accompanied by Major Ras-Desta Komla Dzogbenuku. General Addo discussed future training exercises in Ghana with Lieutenant-General Sir Mervyn Butler, General Officer Commanding-in-chief, and spent an hour inspecting staff procedures in Strategic Command's operations room. After lunch General Addo went to Kiwi Barracks and inspected a quarter guard mounted by the 1st Battalion the Royal Highland Fusiliers. He saw support vehicles being prepared for an air move by the battalion.
