Background: The Central Committee of the Czechoslovak Communist Party held a post-election meeting in Prague on Friday (3 December) to discuss its results. This is official film of the meeting in the Spanish Hall of Prague Castle.
According to official results released on the 28th. of November, the Czechoslovak electorate voted more than 99 per cent in favour of official one-party candidates in the first General Election held in the country since the internal unrest of 1968.
Among speakers at the post-election meeting were Prime Minister of the Federal Cabinet Lubomir Strougal, and Communist Party Chief Dr. Gustav Husak, who delivered the report of the Party's central committee on the results of the elections.
