    In Savannah today (13 July) mass demonstrations by negroes were suspended under a shaky, biracial truce while clergymen and businessmen tried to stabilize the situation. Savannah, a port city in Georgia (South eastern U.S) has been the scene of racial demonstrations for the past week, erupting into violence Thursday (11 July). Negroes will meet tonight, as will a "hite Segregationist group to consider future action.
