Background: The Munich Olympic Games Organising Committee has begun selling the furniture and effects used in the Olympic village. Everything is being sold, from unused toothbrushes to television sets and garden furniture. But the committee has run into problems ... it doesn't have as much to sell as ti should ... many of the items have been stolen. Security at the sale has been tightened and only people officially recognised as buyers are now being allowed in. To add to the organisers' problems ... items are fetching only about half their real value.
