Background: There will be an exhibition at the Accra Community Centre during the visit of the Duke of Edinburgh to Ghana. This exhibition will be opened by the Duke. These exhibitions show the Developments in the whole country within the Second Five Year Development Plan. Some of these developments are - Supply of good drinking water, Construction of aerodromes and extensions to the present ones, Wide Electricity Supply and building of schools.
The Prime Minister, Rt.Hon. Dr. Kwame Nkrumah paid a short visit to the Accra Airport where he saw models of the development plan. From the airport, the Prime Minister went to the Accra Community Centre where the exhibition is going to take place. He saw the people at work and encouraged them to work harder.
He was accompanied by the Hon. Kojo Botsio, Minister of Economic Affairs, Mr. Bensah, Minister of Works n Housing and Mr. Aye Kumi. Chairman of I.D.C. and A.D.C.
