Background: Members of the Ouaker International Dialogue Programme this week called on Ghanian Prime Minister Dr. Busia at the Castle, Osu. The delegates are in Ghana attending a seminar on youth and political leadership sponsored by the Ouaker group.
Dr. Busia spoke to the delegates and stressed the value of the seminar as it offers the opportunity to establish relationships with people of other countries.
The delegates came from 14 West African countries including Ghana, Togo, the Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Mali, Cameroun Gambia, Upper Volta, Sierra Leore and Senegal, and were led by Mr. john Wyllie, Director of the Ouaker International Dialogue Programme for West Africa.
The seminar was also attended by representatives from the United States and students from French and English speaking countries in West Africa.
Speaking during the meeting with Dr. Busia, Mr. Wyllie said the organisation believes in international peace and aims at establishing communications between different peoples to bring about better chances of ensuring world peace.
