Background: The Chinese men's and women's teams scored a clean sweep of gold medals in Thailand's International Gymnastic Tournament. In the individual performances the Chinese women's team won all four events, and also took the gold in the all-event category. Li Cuiling won the overall individual medal, and took the title for horizontal bars and the vaulting horse. Xu Yemei, seen here in the uneven bars routine, won that event. Yu Feng was placed first in the balance beam and floor exercises, with this display. Chinese men took gold in five of the six events staged with Tang Zhigang winning the pommel and horizontal bar, Wu Gounian victorious in the floor exercise and the vaulting horse, and Chen Jun winning the rings. The Goodwill Tournament was held in Bangkok over the two days of February 14-15.
