YEH CHAN-HUI: "Basically we organise the Chinese characters according to the frequency of occurrence. And then we put them together by phonetic symbols. If we are to enter your company name such as Ying Wan Chow then we have to go to the phonetic symbol Ying. We can also do that in English. And we also have three sizes of characters. This is the large. We can also do very small. This is the medium and very small. And we can also do vertical style. This is the traditional Chinese style. In three size characters as well."

Background: One of the largest and most comprehensive exhibitions of computer technology is being held in Hong Kong. More than 150 working computer systems from 48 of the world's leading makers are on display
SYNOPSIS: The technology ranges from the latest in advanced computer systems, to such mundane matters as computer flooring.

The displays include home computers for entertainment and others to take care of personal accounting, business organisation and even those offering advice on dieting. But the most unusual computer in the display is the American made Ideographix Chinese word processor. It is the first computer-based telecommunication terminal to automate the Chinese telegraph operation. Its inventor, Dr. Yeh Chan-Hui demonstrated how to process characters in Chinese using the microprocessor-controlled keyboard.
