Background: One night six years ago Bob Spencer of Cleveland, Ohio was mistaken for a prowler. A nervous householder fired his revolver and the bullet struck Bob in the neck paralysing him from the neck down.
Until the accident Bob, in his own words, spent a "boring life". He watched television most of the time, played some sport, but had no real ambitions.
But now his entire life has changed. Four years ago Bob discovered art. He started with simple charcoal sketches, but now is doing oil paintings. Before the accident Bob showed no real talents for art. He doesn't understand the change, but in more than happy with it.
He uses a special scooped brush held in his mouth. A recent painting won an award at an Ohio fair. The judges were unaware of Bob's handicap.
