Background: Winter storms lashed the Mediterranean coast of France on Saturday (19 Feb) hurling debris onto coastal highways -- and flooding wide areas.
In Antibes, about thirty people had to be evacuated from their homes as flood waters three feet (1 meter) deep swirled through the town.
All along the coast, roads were temporarily closed and sea walls were damaged by high waves.
