The Iraqis are also looking into the prospects for co-operating in the establishment of joining projects.
The delegation is headed by Taha Al-Jazrawi, a member of Iraq's Revolutionary Council and the Minister of Industry and Minerals. The delegation also includes Hikman Al-Azawi, Minister of National Economy, and 12 other senior officials.
Hosting the Iraqis is a delegation headed by Jordanian Minister of Transport Khaled Al-Haj Hassan. With him are Salem Massa'deh, Minister of Finance; Dr. Rajal Al-Mouasher, Minister of Industry; and Dr. Hanna Odeh, Chairman of the National Planning Council.
Recently the two countries signed an economic agreement to increase trade and provide access to the port of Aqaba for Iraq. A visit to the port was on the agenda for the Iraqi delegation, as well as visits to major industry including the phosphate mines in Russeifa, a petroleum refinery and a textile mill.
The delegation will also have an audience with Jordan's King Hussein.
