Background: There was laughter and tears at 52 children flew into Sydney airport, Australia, for was torn Lebanon this week to be reunited with their parents.

SYNOPSIS: The children, aged between 3 and 12, had been living with grandparents and relatives in South Lebanon while their parents worked in Australia to establish new homes there for them to come to. But as the civil war in Lebanon worsened Sydney's large Southern Lebanese community appealed to the Australian Government to help evacuate the children, and emergency visas for the little refugees were issued. Perhaps the most emotional reunion was between Mr. and Mrs. Yousef Kalif and their 4 year old daughter Rula. Rula was born shortly after her father left for Australia and he'd never seen her before. The children were brought out of Lebanon by an Australian Lebanese, Mr. Kamal Mourad, with International Red Cross Help.
