INTRODUCTION: The United Nations General Assembly has started an emergency session to discuss Namibia (South West Africa).The session was called by African states impatient with the efforts of western nations to solve the dispute centring on South Africa's denial of independence to the territory.The General Assembly recognises the South West African People's Organisation (SWAPO) as the sole representative of Namibia, and session is expected to end with a call on all states to isolate South Africa.Herr Rudiger Von Wechmar of West Germany spoke first:
