Background: The Mayor's traditional independence Day reception for the "Who is Who" of Jerusalem took place this afternoon at the Citadel, near Jaffa Gate, at the entrance to the Old City. Jerusalemites of all walks of life, from East and West Jlm., church dignitaries and diplomats stationed in Jerusalem were amongst the many Jerusalemites, who cane to greet or be greeted by Mayor Teddy Kollek and Raffi Levy, the Jerusalem District Commissioner and their wives. Amongst those who came were the Archbishop of the ??? church, the secretary to the Armenian Archbishop (the himself is ailing) and the Bishop, who ??? his place, nuns and the heads of the White Russian Church, as well as the Syrian Church representatives and the Greek Orthodox heads, the British Consul in Jerusalem and the Dutch ambassador and his wife, Mayors of the surrounding West Bank towns and West Bank Bedouin Sheikhs, Israelis and tourists from Europe and the USA, volunteer girls and boys from Finland, the girls in their national costumes, young and old.
