    The newly nominated Catholic dignitaries of the church took the oath before the President of the Presidential council of the People's Republic in the Parliament. "The interests of the faithful are not opposed to the aims and endeavours of our Socialist order" - said Pal Losonczi. The Presidential council gave his previous assent to the Papal nominations of the new prelates and the oath strengthened the relations of the state and the church. At the press conference at the headquarters of the Journalists Association, Josef Prentner, president of the State Office for Church Affairs, answered the questions of the home and foreign pressmen. He praised the agreements regulating the relation of the Church and State, which stood the test of time.

    GENERAL ASSEMBLY 20 m
    The Hungarian film and TV-artists held a general assembly. On the conference, opened by Zoltan Fabri's chairman introductory, took part the notable personalities, artists and the leaders of the film art. Andras Kovacs general secretary, analysed the work of the association and the position of the Hungarian feature film, from the secretaries, Peter Bokor dealt with the problems of the TV and Tamas Feheri with those of the Hungarian short films. Then spoke Miklos Ovari, chief of section of the HSWP CC and Laszlo Orban, first deputy of the minister of culture. The followed passionate deliberations in which the experts of every area of the film life propounded their opinion. finally they elected the new presidency of the Hungarian Film- and TV artists Association.
