Background: Mr. John diefenbaker, Canadian Premier, reviewed and decorated officers and men of the 4th. Canadian Infantry Brigade Group at Fort Prince of Wales, near Hemer, Western Germany, on November 10.
Prior to his inspection tour by jeep, Mr. Diefenbaker was given a 19-gun salute by C Battery of the 1st. Regiment of the Royal Canadian Horse Artillery.
The Canadian Premier had come from Bonn where he had talks with the West German Chancellor, Dr. Adenauer. This German visit was part of Mr. Diefenbaker's tour of Europe and Far Eastern Commonwealth Countries.
