FIKRE-SELASSIE: "The period we are in is indeed an epoch of struggle. On one side are arrayed the forces of progress, peace and socialism, while on the other are huddled up the forces of reaction, destruction and chaos. Acute contradictions are developing between these antagonistic forces. The relentless class war that is being waged between them os increasingly assuming fiercer and harsher proportions, thus accelerating the downward journey of imperialism to its inevitable grave. Incontestable facts do prove that this is the order of the day on all fronts. The struggle of the African and oppressed Arab peoples is ever gaining momentum and breaking asunder the imperialist shackles of oppression and domination. In Southern Africa, the heroic struggle of the people of Zimbabwe will undoubtedly emerge victorious. This certainly is approaching and calls for the unhindered support of revolutionaries to make this reality bloom fast."
