Background: SYNOPSIS: Niagara Falls -- scene of an international pilgrimage by the Canadian Corps Association and the American Legion and Marine Corps League. Three-thousand veterans from across Ontario joined in the fourteenth annual march across the Rainbow Bridge into Niagara Falls, New York. Old soldiers from both nations made the pilgrimage.
The pilgrimage made its way down Niagara Falls' main street to the war memorial to honour the American dead of two world wars and the Korean conflict. The service of remembrance was held under the direction of the Canadian Corps, Ontario Command.
Top Canadian and American officers of the Ontario-New York took the salute.
