Background: Pro-Castro terrorists have struck again in Caracas in their almost-daily campaign of raids and bombings.They are attempting to bring down the government of President Romulo Betancourt before a successor is elected in December.
The film warehouse of Hollywood's Columbia Pictures, housed in the Polar Building in downtown Caracas, was the most recent target.
The bombing, and the fire which followed, gutted the warehouse made a tangle of thousands of feet of film and killed two persons, including one of the raiders.Damage was estimated at 800-thousand dollars.
The terrorists call themselves the Armed Forces of National Liberation or F.A.L.N.In this bombing, as in others, they left the initials scrawled on a wall as a boast and a threat.
