TRANSCRIPT: SEQ. 2: HOME: "But this is a new fact of life with which we must reckon or if we do not we may pay a price which is unacceptable at some future time. For quite simply, it is not safe, whether it be in the Mediterranean now, or in the Indian Ocean soon, to leave the communists as undisputed masters of all military activity in an area where a vital British interest lies.

It is not Britain's way, to stay a course only when we're in a clear lead. And this a course only when we're in a clear lead. And this Government has no intention whatever of dropping out."
