With all the sincerity in my heart may I say it has been one of my greatest privileges to see you as a footballer and to meet you as a man. To say thank you for everything you have done for football and for sportsmanship.

I deeply appreciated the honour you have bestowed on me and to all concerned who have helped to make this evening I will never forget as long as I live I thank you very sincerely. Sometimes I am called old man of soccer, I am a little thin on top but really I am not that old.
