    The great leader and teacher Chairman Mao Tsetung dedicated all his energies throughout his life to the liberation of the Chinese people and to the emancipation of the oppressed nations and oppressed people the world over. The Chinese people and the revolutionary people throughout the world love him from the bottom of their hearts and have boundless admiration and respect for him.

    Great Hall of the People
    On Sept. 13, foreign friends and diplomatic envoys of more than 90 countries and regions deeply mourn the passing of Chairman Mao Tsetung.

    Wreath from President Kim Il Sung
    The wreath from President Kim Il Sung, the great leader of the Korean people, is made of flowers grown in Korea. It was flown to Peking by special plane under the escort of Korean Vice-Foreign Minister Chon Myong Su.

    The wreaths in the mourning hall also include those from leaders and governments of many other countries of the five continents, from diplomatic missions, ambassadors and embassies in Peking, and from foreign students and trainees of various countries in the Chinese capital. Among the inscriptions on the ribbons are: "Chairman Mao, a proletarian revolutionary of the contemporary era, is the spring of strength for the poor and the weak. The radiance of his thought shines not only over the Chinese people, but, transcending national boundaries, shines over people of good will who love peace the world over." "The great leader, Chairman Mao Tsetung, always lives in people's hearts; he will live forever in the annals of humanity."
    Standing vigil in turn at the bier and receiving the foreign guests are party and state leaders: Hua Kuo-feng, Wang Hung-wen, Chang Chun-chiao, Chen Hsi-lien, Wang Tung-hsing, Yeh Chien-ying, Yao Wen-yuan, Li Hsien-nien, Chi Teng-kuei, Li Teh-sheng, Wu Teh, Chen Yung-kuei, Ni Chih-fu, Hsu Shih-yu, Wu Kuei-hsien and Saifudin.

    Korean Ambassador and other Korean comrades
    Korean Vice- Foreign Minister Chon Myong Su, Ambassador Hyun Jun Keuk and all comrades of the Korean Embassy in Peking and the crew of the Korean special plane deeply mourn the passing away of Chairman Mao.

    Albanian Comrades
    Albanian Ambassador Behar Shtylla and diplomatic officials of the Albanian Embassy express their profound condolences.

    Romanian Ambassador
    Romanian Ambassador Nicolae Gavrilesou and other Romanian comrades.

    The ambassador of Democratic Kampuchea, Pich Cheang, and officials of his embassy.

    Officials of the Mission of the Palestine Liberation Organization in Peking and the Liaison Office of the United States of America in China also come to extend condolences.

    Paying respects to Chairman Mao's remains are also the visiting Albanian Metallurgical Working Group led by Albanian Vice-Minister of Industry and Mines Maqo Bleta, Pakistan Foreign Secretary Agha Shahi, the Delegation from the Venezuelan National Cultural Council, former U.S. Secretary of Defence James Schlesinger, and friends from sports circles in Japan, Tanzania and Egypt.

    Students and trainees of various countries in Peking, foreign correspondents and friends of other circles, mourn Chairman Mao Tsetung's passing with the deepest grief.

    Korean students
    The Korean students say with deep sorrow: "The passing away of Chairman Mao has filled the entire Korean people with immense grief. Chairman Mao supported us at our most difficult hour. This we will never forget."
    Albanian students.

    The Albanian students pay their highest respect to Chairman Mao. They say, "We will always cherish the memory of Chairman Mao. The Albanian people will forever unite with and fight alongside the Chinese people and carry through to the end the struggle against imperialism, revisionism and colonialism."
    African students
    Many foreign students say that Chairman Mao made tremendous contributions to the cause of liberation of the oppressed people and oppressed nations. "We like the Chinese people," they say, "are grieved at the loss of such a great leader and teacher. Chairman Mao has left us but his spirit and cause will live forever!"
    Chairman Mao will live forever in the hearts of the Chinese people and the revolutionary people the world over!
